3/28  MUGshot Monday editing exercise; How to Read Poetry:  students will take notes over how to read a poem and together practice read a poem in Common Lit (link in Google Classroom) for understanding

3/29  LTOTW:  spoonerism; Poetry:  students will read and annotate “O Captain! My Captain!” on their own, following the steps of “How to Read a Poem” before working through response questions in the Google Classroom.  The annotated poem is to be turned in for a grade.

3/30 Poetry:  students will write an acrostic poem about a character in a story read during the school year

3/23  Informational Text:  Students will watch a video (posted in Google Classroom) about Daylight Savings Time vs Standard Time, read and annotate articles supporting each, and answer response questions in preparation for class discussion on Friday

3/24  Informational Text:  Students will complete the assignment from Wednesday; SAT Vocabulary List 9:  flashcards DUE  3/25 and TEST 4/1

3/25  Information Text:  Students will discuss thoughts about Daylight Savings Time vs Standard Time

3/8 LTOTW:  motif; EOC Practice:  Students will read and respond to a nonfiction passage in DMAC (link in Google Classroom)

3/9 Students will review the 8 parts of speech through an escape room in the Google Classroom

3/10 Students will complete the escape room in the Google Classroom then begin a review over sentence structure which is also in the Classroom

3/11 Students will complete the sentence structure review and go to the library for a self-selected novel to read for 4th Quarter Book Talks
