Pre-AP English I

2/11  MUGShot Monday editing exercise; Shakespearean Sonnets – students will complete their original sonnet following Shakespeare’s structure

2/12  LTOW – hubris; Shakespearean Sonnets – students will do a peer review in small groups of original sonnets, choose the best in their group to be shared with the class

2/13  Reading Benchmark – Students will work through a Paired Passage reading packet; SAT Vocabulary List 7 TEST Friday

2/14  20Time Project Introduction – Project Pitches DUE 2/21; SAT Vocabulary List 7 TEST Tomorrow

English I

2/11 MUGShot Monday editing exercise; Expository Essay – students will review components of a conclusion paragraph before drafting their own

2/12 LTOW – hubris; Expository Essay – students will write the rough draft of their essay from their completed planning sheet and begin the revising and editing process with a partner

2/13  Expository Essay – students will write their final draft in the English I EOC 26 line box and turn in at the end of class; SAT Vocabulary List 7 TEST Friday

2/14  Benchmark Corrections – students will work through missed questions on reading passages explaining why incorrect answers were wrong as well as why new answer choice is correct; SAT Vocabulary List 7 TEST Tomorrow

2/15  SAT Vocabulary List 7 TEST
