AP English Lit

2/12 – Literary Term of the Week:  metonymy; Macbeth:  AP Open Response Practice Essay – In a well-organized essay, students will discuss the ways in which Banquo serves as a foil to Macbeth.  They will draw evidence from the play to support their assertions.

2/13 – Macbeth:  AP Practice Multiple Choice Test – students will take the AP Practice Test over Macbeth

2/14 – Research Paper Introduction:  students will receive due dates and an overview for entirety of project; Macbeth:  students will receive their graded M/C tests for review and clarification on missed answers.

2/15 – Research Paper Introduction:  students will receive clarification on possible topics for research; Topic choice DUE tomorrow

2/16 – Research Paper:  students will take notes on how to begin research, create notecards, and build a bibliography

English IV

2/12 – Literary Term of the Week:  metonymy; Research Paper Introduction:  students will receive an overview of the research project along with due dates for the entirety of the project; students will begin researching possible topics to research

2/13 – Research Paper:  Students will continue exploring possible research topics which are DUE tomorrow; students will take notes on how to begin research, create notecards, and build a bibliography

2/14 – Research Paper:  Topic choices DUE; students will take notes on how to cite sources within a paper

2/15 – Research Paper:  Students will take notes on how to write a proper and effective thesis statement and then practice writing them; Thesis Statements DUE Tomorrow

2/16 – Research Paper:  Students will take notes on how to outline and then practice outlining from sample thesis statements; Outline DUE Tuesday 2/20
